Ridly
A deployed digital-voucher marketplace with an arcade soul — and my own pixel art.
01 / summary
What it does.
A full e-commerce web app for game credits, subscriptions, and digital vouchers, themed as a retro “gacha arcade.” It started in my Web Development class and I extended it into a deployed product, live at devonsl.my.id.
02 / role & impact
Code in the morning, pixel lighting at night.
- Built the storefront, point shop, cart, and authentication (including Google OAuth).
- Designed and illustrated the parallax day/night cityscape myself in Aseprite — a four-layer pixel-art background that gives the site its identity.
- Connected my interests — web dev, game aesthetics, illustration — into one shippable thing.
03 / what I learned
How much of a product is feel.
The technical e-commerce parts are standard; what made Ridly mine was treating the visual world as seriously as the code. I learned to move between disciplines in one project — backend logic in the morning, pixel lighting at night — and ship something coherent.
