Darent Defoe Lengkong.
“Every project here started the same way: I wanted something to exist, so I started building before I had the full map.”
I’m an Information Systems for Business student at Universitas Ciputra Surabaya (GPA 3.86 / 4.00). I learn fastest with my hands on a real problem — I make the things I wish existed, then figure out the hard parts no tutorial covers.
Comfortable owning a system end to end: designing the architecture, reasoning through failures, and shipping. I explore first, then commit. Currently exploring a double-degree track at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.
Beyond the code.
Google Indonesia
Selected to represent Google on campus and teach students how to use AI in everyday life — mostly by creating teaching content. Self-directed: Google sets topics, I decide how to make them land. Selected among ~2,000 from 81,000+ applicants (top ~2.5%).
Universitas Ciputra
Mentored incoming students through bi-monthly group sessions focused on learning skills — helping them find their footing, not just handing out answers. Recognized as Outstanding Mentor in Learning Skills & Lifelong Learning.
EPIC · DCSC · Batik Festival
Ideated and ran event games on the ground (EPIC). Pulled in as a stand-in MC for DCSC’s three-month flagship seminar with little warning — and did it. Handled content and marketing for the Batik Festival, including an orphanage outreach event. Comfortable being handed ambiguity and figuring it out live.
What I think about
Fighting game pro scene, Indonesian stock market analysis, building a Roblox survival game in Lua (with friends), and any stuff I’ll be interested in.
